ABOUT US
The Butterfly Effect is an architecture and interior design company based in London. It is founded in 2011 by Marialena Tourkolia and is a full service architecture and design practice, specifying at the moment from private houses/apartments to housing complexes.
The butterfly effect adds value to the design process and the body of work demonstrates the ability to handle challenging briefs. We offer design ideas from initial concept to custom furnished interiors. We commit to the original while we understand and respect the local architecture.
We treat each client as an individual and every project is unique.
TEAM
Marialena Tourkolia is the founding partner of Butterfly Effect Architectural & Interior Design Ltd (London/Athens).
Marialena studied in London. After completing a Bsc Honors in Architecture in the East London University Uel in 2004, she obtained a postgraduate Diploma in Architecture (RIBA Part 2).Her education was topped by a Master in History of Architecture and Intepretations in 2008.
Marialena joined since 2008 an Interior Design Practice based in London (MKV design) for three years gaining experience as an Architect and Interior Designer. She was involved in a number of hospitality and Hi-end Resindential projects all over the world. From 2011 she is running her own company in London and she is already involved in Hi- End Residential projects in central London & Greece. As an architect she is involved in the design process and plays a key role in the construction design phase.
Antonis Koukas is a partner of Butterfly Effect Architectural & Interior Design Ltd (London / Athens).
He studied architecture in both London (England) and Xanthi (Greece). He completed a Bsc Honors in Architecture (RIBA Part 1) in the East London University Uel in 2003 and completed his studies (as an architect-engineer) in Duth University of Xanthi in 2010.
Antonis since 2003 has been working in the architecture office of George Koukas as an Architect and Designer. He is involved in a number of Residential designs as well as Hotels and Wineries in the area of Peloponnesus. Since 2011 he is running his own offices in Argos and Athens. As an architect engineer, he is involved in the design process and building construction and supervision.
George Margaritιs is a partner of Butterfly Effect Architectural & Interior Design Ltd based in Athens.
He is also a founding partner of
<<MARGARITHS GEORGIOS & SIA EE>> company from 2011
which has as a target the organization and materialization of
private projects (Construction Project Management) as well as to
provide technical advisors through completion.
He concluded his studies as a
Mechanical Engineer in Dimokritos University of Thrace in
1993.
Stavroula Sourtzh recently became a partner of Butterfly Effect Architectural & Interior Design Ltd.
She studied Mechanichal Engineering in the National Metsovio Polytechnic University of Athens (five years of studies,Bachelor & Master) and she specialized <<In the Restoration of Monuments>> with a master from the Polytechnic University of Milan (Architecture & Engineer). Since then she has been involved professionally in the building scheme and construction (block of flats, storages and family houses e.t.c). Moreover she is involved in the foundation study of the maintain buildings and ancient monuments as well as town planning law issues .
Since
2010 she is running her own company <<Civilcon>>
and she is based in Athens.
